Floods can be replaced by  60% of mercury lamps and sodium vapor lamps. suppose 250 w old light can be replaced by 150 w or  100w. all flood light gives 120 -140 lumen per watt. 100w flood lights give 12000-14000lumens. It covers 100 feet in 180 degrees.  Covering more distance requires a lens, depending on the angle of the lens it covers. How to select flood for industries: depending on height we need to select wattage and lens angle. if it is around 20 feet we can use 100w non-lens and if more than that we need to go for a non-lens model. flood light should always have an adc12 body make, if it is a metal sheet always has very little life.

Metal sheet flood light comes at very low prices, starting from Rs 400 to a max of RS 1000 for a 100w flood light. These low-cost materials made in China with less shifty may be dangerous to human life also. quality 100w flood light without a lens may start 1800- 3000, and lens flood may cost another 400-800 extra.
